ADMISSION PROCESS
All courses are taught in English and therefore students should have an advanced academic level to be able to follow classes, read and write academic texts in this language.
Selection criteria:
If you think you are a good candidate for the M.A. Program, this is how the admission process works:
1. Pre-enrolment online (just type in your name and ID information and click on "accept" to send the information):
Every year, pre-enrolement online opens in March and closes in September. We recommend interested students that they apply as early as possible (only 25 new students are accepted every year).
2. Uploading the documentation required.
You can upload the required documents onto the system when you proceed with pre-enrolment online.
3. Master's Admission Committee meets in March, April, May, June, July and early September and will consider all applications received (CV, academic record, letter of interest, etc.).
4. When a candidate is admitted to the LAALCM master's degree program s/he receives an official admission letter from the UB administration.
Selection criteria:
- Graduates in Linguistics or Psycholinguistics have preference to be admitted to the Program, although it is open to other graduates who meet the criteria to enroll in a M.A. Program.
- Special attention will be drawn to: (1) academic record; (2) work experience related to language use and language acquisition; (3) other academic merits: participation in research projects, university assistance and academic tasks, collaboration grants with university departments; (4) other merits: Erasmus-Sòcrates, good command of computer technology, knowledge of other languages, stays abroad...
- Together with the documentation, the candidate must include a letter of interest, which will be taken into account during the admission process.
